Backing our staff

He aha te mea nui o te ao? – What is the most important thing in the world?
He tangata! He tangata! He tangata! – It is people! It is people! It is people!

Helping people to achieve their dreams is not only about supporting our clients, but about supporting our team as well. We recognise that relationships with our people are important, and we want to help them to be the best they can be.

We support our team in and out of the office through external qualification support and professional development whilst supporting them to meet their commitments to their families and others with a flexi time program that suits their needs. We value work-life balance and believe that this balance is essential in ensuring we can deliver an exceptional service to our clients.

BDO Tauranga supports the health and wellbeing of staff by encouraging involvement in activities outside the office such as lawn bowls, indoor netball, beach volleyball, golf, and squash. In the office, we offer stand-up desks, a ‘Chill Out’ room, an allowance for health promoting activities, we are involved in various healthy challenges (such as Biggest Loser and Steptember), and have embraced greenery to improve the oxygen in the office.

We embrace a learning culture, so that our team can achieve their dreams, to help you achieve yours.
