EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Steve has almost forty years' experience in audit and advisory services. He leads BDO Taranaki's audit practice and has been an approved auditor for the Office of the Auditor General since 1989.
As Managing Principal since 1990 Steve steered the firm's growth from its niche position (with 20 people) to New Plymouth's leading professional services firm with more than 80 people.
His main areas of interest include business structures, governance and strategy, business valuations and taxation advice. A number of his clients are involved in engineering/contracting and exporting including some of Taranaki’s iconic businesses.
Steve joined BDO’s New Zealand Board in 2007. He oversees the firm's risk management including the national Professional Indemnity Insurance program.
