EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Doug is a Partner in our Advisory division in the Wellington office. Over the past 25 years he has acted for some of New Zealand’s best known organisations with assignments that have included the likes of Xero, Trade Me, Foodstuffs, NZIER, Sport NZ and Panhead Custom Ales. 

Doug and his team are experts in financial reporting, taxation, and corporate finance transaction support. His clients include owner-operated businesses, National Sport Organisations, not-for-profit organisations, charities, and large international corporates.  The nature of his work is varied but includes preparing financial statements, tax returns, management accounts, budgets and forecasts, as well as supporting clients through transactions with valuation, due diligence and taxation advice.

Doug is a Chartered Accountant, and in 2019 was admitted as a Fellow Chartered Accountant. In 2021 he was recognised for his contribution to the Global BDO network and was awarded a BDO Medal.

He is Chair of BDO New Zealand, and has been the Chair of our Standards and Quality Committee for more than 15 years.

Outside of work Doug is a keen cyclist, and has represented New Zealand at World Championships in France and Italy.
