Chris has been a Partner in the BDO Gisborne office since 1996 and has been a leader in the Maori Business Unit at BDO Gisborne since 1997.
Effective governance plays an integral part in the roles Chris performs for many organisations including Maori Incorporations and Trusts. For Chris, effective governance is all about determining purpose, developing an effective culture and holding management to account to ensure their compliance obligations are met.
Chris’s extensive experience within audit & assurance area (developed during his time in London auditing large financial institutions) sees him play a key part in the audit process for leading clients. This includes many businesses in the local horticulture growing and processing industries.
Chris also provides a Chief Information Officer role for Maori incorporations and trusts.
