Executive Summary
Alan has more than 25 years' tax experience providing practical domestic and international tax advice to a diverse range of clients. This includes advising high net worth individuals, small and medium sized businesses as well as publicly listed companies.
He has worked with clients across a range of sectors including energy, software, property, hotel, tourism and leisure, services, retail, manufacturing, and Maori business providing a broad range of tax consulting, compliance and transaction services.
Alan’s experience includes two years in London working in the international corporate tax divisions of two Big 4 Firms. Much of Alan's work in the UK was with large publicly listed companies, giving him valuable exposure to large multi-national companies and multi-jurisdictional assignments, an experience he is able to draw on with current clients.
Alan is also a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand Tax Advisory Group, which is heavily involved in submissions on tax policy and legislation in New Zealand.
