BDO Gisborne and Jarden invite you to attend an afternoon with Sir Bill English “How does Tairāwhiti seize the moment?” 


Speakers:

Sir Simon William (Bill) English, KNZM

Proudly born and bred in Southland, Sir Bill has an affinity with heartland New Zealand and is in touch with the current issues and opportunities that these rural communities are up against.

During his time as the Minister of Finance for the National Party (2008 to 2016), he helped to navigate the country through some challenging economic times which included the Global Financial Crisis and the total devastation caused as a result of the Christchurch earthquakes. 

Sir Bill is a passionate advocate for championing social change. He works closely with not-for-profit and charitable entities, ensuring they have access to the latest tools, technology and information to determine the true value and impact their investment is having on the lives of New Zealanders.
Joining Sir Bill for this event will be Malcolm Jackson, Chief Executive Officer, Jarden

Malcolm Jackson was appointed Jarden’s CEO of Wealth and Asset management in October 2022. With more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector, Malcolm previously held roles as Managing Director with both Blackstone in London and Singapore, as well as with TPG Capital in Melbourne.

Malcolm sits on the Jarden Board as well as the Board of Harbour and Hatch (Direct Retail Broking Joint Venture with FNZ). Outside of work, he holds board positions on Hello Period, Real World, the advisory board of EC Credit and Woodford House.
